Featuring AGI Trustee: Ulf M. Schneider

Elected to the AGI Board of Trustees in November 2013, Ulf M. “Mark” Schneider has been the President and CEO of Fresenius Group since May 28, 2003. He joined Fresenius in November 2001 and served as Chief Financial Officer of Fresenius Medical Care before assuming his current position.

Previously, he was Group Finance Director for Gehe UK, a pharmaceutical wholesale and retail distributor, in Coventry, United Kingdom. Schneider has held several senior executive positions since 1989 with Gehe’s majority shareholder, Franz Haniel & Cie., a diversified German multinational company. He holds a Lic. oec. degree in Finance and Accounting and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St. Gallen/Switzerland and an MBA from Harvard University. He was born and raised in Germany and became a United States citizen in 2003.
