Europeans Divided on the Eve of Brexit?

On the eve of the UK referendum that would decide the country’s membership in the EU, Bruce Stokes, Director of Global Economic Attitudes at Pew Research Center, sits down with AGI President Dr. Jackson Janes to discuss the public sentiment about the EU in domestic and international affairs reflected in recent poll results. Referring to two recent polls conducted by Pew Research Center, Mr. Stokes points out that, although attitudes differ along demographic and ideological lines, there are increasing inward-looking attitudes among Europeans as well as concerns about Europe’s role in world affairs. A potential Brexit casts a looming shadow over the European project that has been over half a century in the making.
