A Conversation with Josef Janning on Managing the European Refugee Crisis within the EU

Against the backdrop of the continuing refugee crisis in Europe, Josef Janning, Head of Berlin Office and Senior Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, sits down with AGI President Dr. Jackson Janes to discuss how Germany can manage the crisis with its European partners. Mr. Janning suggests that, lacking a broad consensus within the EU on the matter, Germany should seek to build a coalition with EU member states that also favor a European solution, and enlist their help in persuading and negotiating with other member states.
