Ginni Rometty, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of IBM, will receive the Global Leadership Award from the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS) at a gala dinner in New York on Monday, November 11.
Each year, AICGS honors an international figure who reinforces the ties between Germany and the United States. The event highlights the critical role that the German-American partnership plays in transatlantic relations. Mrs. Rometty was appointed President and CEO effective January 1, 2012. She became Chairman of the Board of Directors on October 1, 2012.
and will be preceded by the second AICGS Annual Symposium entitled “The 2012 United States Elections and 2013 German Elections: What Do the Results Mean for Transatlantic Relations.” Taking place at the Deutsche Bank office of 60 Wall Street, the conference will feature five panels on current economic and business topics related to the elections in the U.S. and Germany. Each panel will have a high-level speaker plus respondents drawn from the academic and corporate sectors.
