				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a title="Bernhard Maleck homepage" href="http://www.ies-berlin.de/index.php?id=99">Bernhard Maleck</a> has been teaching at IES Abroad Berlin since 1995. Previously, he has taught at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Johns Hopkins University, and was the recipient of a Fellowship for research at the John F. Kennedy Institute of North American Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. He also served as Academic Advisor for the &#8220;Volkskammer&#8221; of the GDR (the first freely-elected Parliament of the GDR) in 1990-91 and worked actively there for German Unification.</p>
<p>In the 1990s he held a guest professorship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and since 2008 he has been a Senior Fellow of the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies, Washington DC at Johns Hopkins University. He is author of many books and articles on German and European History and Politics.</p>
