The June 7 European Parliament Election

Europeans will head to the polls on June 4-7 for the election of the 700-plus Members of the European Parliament. Despite a multitude of important issues facing the multinational body, turnout is supposed to be at record lows this year and parties are actively battling voter apathy. What role will the financial crisis, immigration, enlargement, and other contentious topics play in the minds of voters? To mark the election, AICGS has compiled important links and information surrounding the important issues that will be the focused on from June 4-7.
