  On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, AICGS hosted a reception for its Trustees and select members of industry, government, and academe at the Deutsche Bank in Berlin on June 2, 2003. CURRENT NEWS:

  With the passage of Security Council Resolution 1483 opening the way to a cooperative rebuilding of Iraq by the US and the UN, AICGS Senior Fellow in Residence Dr. Lily Gardner Feldman underlines the importance of engaging the EU's nation-building experience for Iraq and points to the example of US-EU cooperation in the Balkans to provide lessons for Iraq. PAST EVENTS:

  On May 9, 2003, AICGS sponsored a conference on "The United States, Russia and Germany: A New Alignment in a Post-Iraq World." The conference was the culmination of a two-year project on U.S.-German-Russian relations supported by the German Marshall Fund of the United States. For a summary, please click here.

  On Wednesday, June 11, AICGS/DAAD Fellow Cornelia Woll presented the results of her research in a workshop entitled, "Transatlantic Relations as a Catalyst to European Integration: The Activism of the European Commission in the Case of International Aviation." Her policy paper is available here.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  AICGS is pleased to introduce its newest DAAD/DaimlerChrysler Fellow Jan-Martin Witte, who will be conducting research on his dissertation while at AICGS.
