2007 DAAD Prize Winner: Dr. Stephen Brockmann

AICGS is pleased to announce that Dr. Stephen Brockmann is the recipient of this year's DAAD (German Academic and Exchange Service) Prize in German and European Studies in the Humanities. The DAAD Prize, which recognizes recipients for outstanding academic work in their field, is awarded each year in one of AICGS' three major fields of research: Humanities, Economics, and Politics. This is the thirteenth Prize to be awarded in a series that began in 1994.
Dr. Brockmann received his PhD in German from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently Professor of German at Carnegie Mellon University. He is the author of numerous books and articles; his most recent book is entitled Nuremberg: The Imaginary Capital (Rochester: Camden House, 2006). Dr. Brockmann will be presented this award at AICGS' 13th annual Global Leadership Award Dinner in New York City in November.

AICGS is grateful to the DAAD for its continued support of this award.
