Ms. Katrina Knisely is a research intern at AICGS during the summer of 2016. She writes for the AICGS Notizen Blog, conducts research, manages databases, and documents events at AICGS and related institutions. She is particularly interested in geopolitical risk analysis, labor market and immigrant integration issues, and economic dimensions of security. Prior to her time at AICGS, Ms. Knisely worked at State Street, a financial institution in Boston, and was an intern at SelectUSA (U.S. Department of Commerce) as well as the Council on Foreign Relations.
Ms. Knisely received her BA in Economics, International Relations, and German Studies from Tufts University. She is currently an incoming graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown University. Raised in central Pennsylvania, Ms. Knisely grew up speaking German with her relatives and spent a formative high school year in an exchange program in Hilchenbach (near Siegen), Germany. She also speaks Spanish and is learning Turkish.
