Hannah Matangos is a research intern at AICGS for the spring semester of 2016. She writes for AICGS Notizen, conducts research, manages databases, and documents events held by AICGS and related institutions. Hannah has had an interest in Germany since she first visited as a young child. Over the past few years, she has participated in a German-American exchange program, studied abroad, and become fluent in the German language.

Currently a first-semester senior at George Mason University, Hannah is majoring in both Global Affairs (concentrating on Global Inequalities and Responses) and Art History; additionally, she is minoring in Religious Studies. Her research interests include diplomacy, grassroots political movements, and immigration policy in light of the ongoing refugee crisis.
