Ms. Alina Tucker is a research intern at AICGS for the spring of 2017. She writes for the AICGS Notizen Blog, conducts research for current projects as well as for our resident fellows, manages databases, operates front desk duties, and helps organize, realize and document events. Her research interests lie in foreign policy, international relations, and immigration as well as the future of US-German relations.
Prior to joining AICGS, Ms. Tucker gained professional experience through other internships at the Goethe-Institute Washington, DC, and the Ecological Institute Washington, DC. In the past Ms. Tucker was the coordinator of her University’s radio Viafunk and an active member of the Initiative German for Asylum seekers (IDA), where she gained first-hand experience working with refugees. She has a BA in Social Sciences and a minor in economics from the European University Viadrina Frankfurt(Oder), Germany and wishes to work at the interface between the US and Germany in the future.
