Elected in November 2014 to serve on the AGI Board of Trustees, Wayne Beckmann is a Managing Director in Citi’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Mr. Beckmann is co-head of Citi’s Global Industrials Corporate and Investment Bank, and head of Citi’s Global Automotive Corporate and Industrials Banking Franchise. In his role, Mr. Beckmann manages and helps develop global relationships with large Citi top tier clients in North America, Europe and Asia.

Mr. Beckmann has worked with Industrial companies in this sector for over a decade, ranging from high investment grade manufacturers and parts suppliers through non-investment grade companies, including in certain situations, companies going in and coming out of bankruptcy. Mr. Beckmann has led numerous landmark transactions from bank syndications, IG/HY debt, to common equity and convertible financing.

Mr. Beckmann has further had long term experience advising finance companies through both strong market conditions as well as navigating very difficult markets and ratings pressure.

Mr. Beckmann received a dual finance and accounting degree from the Wharton School of Business in 1989. Mr. Beckmann joined Citibank in 1989 in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division. He has held a number of financial analyst positions prior to joining the Automotive and Industrials Group in 1997. Mr. Beckmann currently resides in Garden City, New York, with his wife, Carol and their three children, Kyle, Julia and Mark.
