Elected to the AGI Board of Trustees in November 2013, Dr. Engel is a Member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, Chief Financial Officer. Hans-Ulrich Engel was born in 1959 in Göttingen, Germany. From 1977 onwards, he studied law at the Universities of Göttingen and Freiburg. In 1983 he graduated from the University of Göttingen. He did his clerkship from 1984 to 1987 at the Higher Regional Court, Oldenburg, Germany, before earning his doctorate at the University of Göttingen in 1990.
